Due to increased costs in providing support and running of EscSoft. We have had to put up the price by a small amount. This is to allow continued development of the products.

a1iPhone/iTouch games - December 28th 2009

Check out my personal web site http://www.binarybiscuits.com where I will be updating with new games I write for the iPhone and iTouch. The first one released today is called "Plastic Soldiers" and requires the player to knock down soldiers by firing a tank shell which explodes. Most of the objects in the scene are affected by physics/gravity and each solder has his own taunts. It was fun making and fun to play and I recommend you have fun with it also. I will start writing 3D games this spring after I do a lot of study of the 3D game engine.

a1iTunes 9 and Nano 5G/iPhone/iTouch firmware 3.x support - September 23rd 2009

New versions of our software is being tested this week with a view to a release this weekend. We are working to iron out the last few bugs before release. iDumpPod2Backup has been updated with changes made to the GUI which enables a better user experience and a new video screencast will be made available at the time of release. The main updates are to provide iPhone/iTouch firmware 3.x "Write" support and fix other issues which were broken by iTunes 9.

We are also working on support for Nano 5G which came out early september. Apple "AGAIN" has changed the database type stored on the device which means we have to work out how it works. Taking a quick look, it seems to have the same type of database as the iTouch/iPhone.

a1iDumpPro 3 - August 30th 2009

New version of iDumpPro in development. We plan to release iDumpPro 3 in the form or a full blown media player like Media player/iTunes. We plan for this program to accept iPods and other media devices and to allow the user to drag and drop files between them. I will start to post information in our blog on its progress. Type of features currently are: Media player for audio complete including audio fx like echo, reverb, look, random selection of track, album cover search, lyrics search, set rating on track.... New product iDumpVideo2iPod released. This application allows you to convert video files and DVD's to H264 formatted video files which can then be imported to your iPhone, iTouch or Video/Nano iPods. Checkout the 7 day trial.

Products now updated to allow reading of iPhone/iTouch devices with firmware 3.0. Works in read-only mode for now, updating will be added soon.

Products are being updated this week to support reading of the new iPhone/iTouch firmware 3.x databases.

Apple have removed the conventional database from this device which our software uses to read and write track information and changed it to a different database. Write/update support will follow.

a1iDumpPod2Backup update V1.0.2.0 - June 13th 2009

The main update to this release was for adding a new iTunes Copy engine. iTunes no longer starts up and the copy process runs faster. We also added cover art support so you can add covers directly to the iPod albums. It will perform an internet search for covers or allow you to add your own.

a1iDump usage shocks us! - June 11th 2009

Andie was on download.com the other day and noticed iDump had exceeded 1 million downloads. I checked today and its at 1,109,352. The only disappointing thing is that only a hand full of people donated over that last couple of years. This is the main reason for our other software having a small charge.

a1iDumpPod2iTunes update V1.0.2.0 - May 26th 2009

A new iPod->iTunes transfer engine has been added to this product. This allows less interaction with the user and runs a lot faster. The GUI has also been updated with a track-events panel so the user can now see file transfer status.

a1iDumpTools and EscSoft merge - May 16th 2009

Due to bandwidth on the network, we have decided to merge/update iDumpTools and EscSoft. Both URL's will be available and will present the user with the same site but these are held on different networks for resilience so we can hopefully maintain 100% uptime.

a1iDumpDupCleaner - May 16th 2009

Development stated on iDump Duplicate Cleaner. Expected completion date end of June. This application will allow the user to clean playlists and tracks of duplicate files automatically. With a simple Wizard it will help the user cleanup up music libraries. Rules can be set on how the data is analyses which adds flexibility.

Update and bug fixes to iDumpPod2Backup. Removed album-cover flow to allow application to run under .Net 2.0 instead of .Net 3.5. This also speeds up the application and made it more stable.

a1New changes to iDumpPod2Backup and iDumpPod2iTunes - April 25th 2009

Updates have been made to both products. iDumpPod2itunes will now start and control iTunes while it copies tracks and playlists from the iPod to the PC. iDumpPod2Backup has had the cover flow removed and better navigation through artists and albums within each playlist.

a1New iPod Shuffle - April 23th 2009

We have now tested with the new iPod shuffle and have found Apple have modified the database on this device. Our products will not work with the new shuffle and we are actively working on a solution.

Due to many user requests for a product to help recover photo's from an iPod, we have created a program which allows the user to copy photos and album artwork from an iPod to the PC. Recover can be done with one click. Works on all iPods including iTouch 2G and iPhone 3G.

iDumpPod2Backup is a program which allows you to backup or restore an entire iPod. You can backup and restore music, playlists and tracks. For example you can select a playlist, click "backup to iTunes" and the playlist and tracks will be copied to iTunes automatically including Tags like ratings! Download a demo for a 14 day trial. a1iDumpPod2iTunes - March 1st 2009

The first of our new tools has now been released. The application has been designed in a simple way to allow the user to easily transfer playlists and tracks from any iPod to iTunes. The program uses a new super fast way to update iTunes without having to use the slow Apple SDK. The program will backup the iTunes database before adding new entries. The user is able to undo changes and recover iTunes back to a previous point in time.

a1iDumpPro V3.0 development - Feb 25th 2009

The rewrite started in December 2008 and is turning out to be quite a long job. When finished, it will incorporate most if not all the tools found on this web site. It will also be a free upgrade to existing iDumpPro users. I will post updates in the Blog as the progress continues.
